Social and Economic Reforms
On top of political reforms, the Assembly has also made social and economic reforms. Firstly, the Assembly has abolished the special privileges of the nobility, which prevents them from having any advantages over us that can get them ahead in society once more! In my opinion, this reform is more than fair, and the former First and Second Estates should be thanking the Assembly because they were so nice and didn't take away everything from them!
Secondly, the Assembly has also announced an end to feudalism. In other words, we are finally rid of that wretched King Louis XVI and his evil ways! Long live the people!
Thirdly, the reforms have called for taxes to be levied according to the ability to pay, which means we, the majority of the people and former Third Estate, will no longer have to carry the burden of debt for the entire French society! The former First and Second Estates, since they have far more money and riches than we do, will now have to pay the majority of the taxes for all of us, at least until we have increased incomes and can pull our own weight fairly.
Fourthly, the reforms have abolished guilds and forbade labor unions. It was our reality for generations to follow after our parents and to do the same job as they, which required us to have to be apprenticed to a master of the trade. By doing that, there were far too many restrictions on us and what we could do for labor and earn coin, but now, with that gone, we are able to do any job without restriction!
Fifthly, the reforms have compensated nobles for lands seized by peasants. This isn't so much of a plus for us, but it is a fair action, since the richer have lost their land and have only lost from the experience.
